Interview With The Vampire
Versatile. Splendid. Classy. Comedian. Horrible. Seductive. Wines play a significant role in movies. They are cast with either nice or nasty roles. Take such films as James Bond, Casablanca, Silence of the Lambs and Interview with the Vampire. Wines exacerbate the polarity in the characters and mood. Champagnes and sparkling whites are dazzling for the protagonist, while reds are for villains.
In the film classic Casablanca (1942), Humphrey and Ingrid Borgart Bergman enjoyed a bottle of champagne to dispel their thoughts of the horrible war. Wines have been constantly discussed and presented in films James Bond. The debonair spy is also one of the few heroes to do something a connoisseur of wines carefully masculine. Perhaps because of its resemblance to blood, full-bodied reds are often used in horror movies. Miles, on the other hand, tries to make his friend to reconsider the whole question, but then falls to the influence of a seductive wine savvy waitress.
The character of the two friends is also represented in the type of wine they love. Miles loves Pinot Black, while Jack wants Merlot. PINORI Black is remarkably complex and exciting. Merlot, however, is soft, fleshy and exciting. There also something called "Sideways" effect in the wine industry. After the release of the film, there was a significant increase in sales of pinot noir to United States, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Merlot sales dropped 2% compared to Black Pinot, this can be attributed to derogatory remarks by Miles about the wine in the film.
With justice through film and wine, Sideways won numerous awards. Time Out London has even pointed out that the film was "smart, funny and moving." The film was nominated for several awards and has even been coined as the film "the best reviews of 2004. "Paul Giamatti (Miles) was even named" Best Character Actor's The World "by Time magazine.
Other films that feature wine include: Disclosure (1994) with Demi Moore and Michael Douglas, with the former using 1991 Pahlmeyer Chandonnay to seduce his new director The Godfather (1972) with wine in the context of family dinners Ford Coppola's The Parent Trap (1998) starring the young Lindsay Lohan living at Staglin Family Vineyards Napa, the confusing and unintentionally comical A Walk in the Clouds with the film revolving around the romance between Keanu Reeves and Aitana (Victoria Aragon) a daughter California vineyard owner.
