Most objects political campaign of propaganda is usually boring and forgettable. When Shepard Fairey got word that the Obama campaign would welcome his work, the guerrilla marketing genius went to work on creating a new phenomenon. He sought to create something iconic, something more than just the average political campaign poster. He wanted to create the poster for the Democrat 2008 festival. Something hip and "Right Now", which would make its way onto the walls of the university dorms across the country. "

At 38 years old with boyish good locks, it still appears regularly at events held in a simple jeans and shirt.He did political work in the past. In 2000, he served as the campaign of Ralph Nader and in 2004, he depicts George W. Bush as a vampire smile. In 2008, he again threw his hat into the political arena when he decided he wanted to campaign for Barack Obama. Because his somewhat rebellious past, Fairey has adopted a more conservative, because he did not want to cause political damage to the Obama campaign. However, the Obama campaign was everything to him and asked Fairey to go ahead with its plans, to the surprise Fairey.
To create the displays, Fairey grabbed a "political looking" image of Obama off the Internet. He then simplified the photo in a series of bold lines and geometry, using the red, a patriot, white and blue palette, and her putting up posters with the words hope, change and progress. The images have become a cultural phenomenon and can now be found on the Internet for a price much higher than the initial price and for Fairey Moose 950 or so prints. Which became a sort of collector of Obama supporters and art lovers will also find.
Fairey promises he has other tricks up his sleeve, but we can only wait and see what he has in store for us next.
