Vampire Love
You Suck: A Love Story tells the classic tale of two vampires in love, but this is not your average vampire story. Night of grocery-store clerk, Thomas C. Flood wakes to find himself transformed into a vampire by his girlfriend, Jody. Even if more than a little mad with its transformation, the two decide to make it work. First on their list of things to do, and more experimentation with their new skills and capabilities, is to find a minion. They found one in Abby Normal, a gothic teenager who loves their kind. All seems well until the vamp that Jody comes after them, and Flood colleagues (a group of anti-vampires called The Animals) know he is a vampire. And then there's the blue called Blue prostitute who wants all dead.

I love how witty and intelligent writing is in this novel is Yet modern and easy to follow. He has a writing style and themes that are accessible to every reader to think. I also like how Moore working within the vampire mythology, creating some new and dispel some classics. For example, victims turn to dust after been drained of blood, and vampires can not ingest anything but blood. These changes attracted my interest as I wanted to know how these vampires interact with each other and the rest of the world.
There is nothing I disliked about this novel. It was really fun and clever!
I must find more novels by Christopher Moore. I heard somewhere that You Suck: A Love Story is not his best work, so I thought it a good start. Now, I wonder how his other works fantastic if it is not considered good. I will certainly be found Besides his work to read!
Christopher Moore is known for his comic takes classical myths and characters. In this novel, he takes a new turn to vampires. In others, it focuses on death (the grim reaper classic) and even Jesus. I am sure that some might take umbrage at his writing, it would be wise to research a bit before you drive and keep an open mind.
You Suck: A Love Story has everything you could want in a book - it funny and smart and very entertaining.
