Throughout the history of our company has had an obsession with the idea of vampires and dark myths that surround them. Through film, literature, television and even folk legends vampires have captured much attention in the popular media. If there is truth in the myths or not other is really the issue. Part of the fascination with vampires are fascinating aspects of the unknown.

That said, one of questions that comes to mind what exactly are the vampires and how have they become so popular? The word 'vampire' derives from a number of different places, including Greek mythology and folklore Slavic. One of the most common origins of the word is linked to the nosophoros Greek word which roughly translates to "plague carrier."

So now we know the origins of the word itself, but when did vampires truly become legends in their own right? Around the world vampires are discussed, recognized and used as part of the story modern and traditional words. If all cultures seem to represent the vampires in a different light, there is an underlying functionality remains the same. The Vampires are creatures considered "undead" that amounts to eat and drink the blood of other creatures. To Millions of people have said centuries, reinstatement, and fainted on the legends of vampires. It really seems no end in sight.

While many vampire myths vary depending on who you speak, there are some characteristics that seem to be fairly universal. First, as mentioned previously, vampires feast on the blood of living beings. Some other features are common belief that vampires can take the form of bats and wolves. They can fly. They sleep in coffins dark at night.

In addition to all legends, myths and stories related to vampires throughout history, there are quite a few superstitions that are used when it comes to protecting against the dangers that vampires can be transmitted. One of the most powerful tools we can use for protection is a crucifix. The Christian aspect of this superstition is quite clear that we think that vampires are undead and therefore linked to the devil. There are also stories of how the spread of garlic around your house or seed dissemination outside could avert the evil that is owned in vampires. Although these superstitions are quite evident throughout the literature and folklore Vampire, you many be surprised how many people actually use these tactics on a daily basis.

In truth, there are an infinite number of opinions, beliefs and ideas when it comes to the discussion of vampires. Is there really a single factual answer to a corresponding response? In reality there is not. This is exactly where the plot comes into play with vampires. Do we really want to know the truth? Or is it simply more exciting to wonder and to let our minds wander? Imagine what could be done there literature and vampire movies just that much more exciting. About the Author:
